Local Medical Facility • Luxury Vinyl Flooring
ES Dockery prefaced the flooring installation with heavy diamond grinding, bulk placement of self leveling floor grout and extensive skim coating to rehabilitate the substandard portions of the existing floor slab.
Then 15 colors / patterns of premium LVT were incorporated into a mindboggling one of a kind custom flooring layout. Several thousand lineal feet of convoluted solid color ribbons were meticulously cut into curved patterns to make up the common corridors as well as the waiting areas of the individual practices.
Seven colors of seamless flooring were incorporated into the procedure and lab areas. Custom Flooring Medallions we incorporated into the flooring design of the corporate Office complex at the upper level.
Over three miles of Resilient Base was installed – half of which was heavy molded base with the look and feel of painted wood base.
Despite the complexity and scale of the project – the installation was completed on schedule and within budget.

In late 2012 Food City’s parent company, KVAT Foods, started construction of their new four story corporate headquarters building in Abingdon, VA. The facility would be one of the largest and most prestigious in the region. Due to our ability to accommodate the size and complexity of the project – ES Dockery, Inc. was selected to provide the Acoustical Ceilings as well as Carpet and Resilient Flooring. All work was completed on or ahead of schedule.

In early 2010 Alpha Natural Resources began planning for their new Corporate Headquarters Building in Bristol, VA. ES Dockery, Inc. was low bidder on the Suspended Acoustical Ceiling package. The five story building received 80,000 SF of Armstrong Ultima premium ceiling tile at open office areas. Other areas of the building required 35,000 SF of Armstrong Dune ceiling tile. Tiered Classroom areas received Optima Custom Radial ceiling grid and tile in a floating configuration. Armstrong Woodworks solid wood ceiling panels and custom painted Sonata ceiling grid were installed in the Board Room. Accent areas received Armstrong Linear Metal and Serpentina ceiling products.
Strategic material deliveries and the use of multiple installation crews allowed ES Dockery meet the fast-track construction schedule requirements of this high profile LEED Certified project. Alpha Natural Resources proudly move into their new award winning Headquarters Building in October 2011.

The Administration Building was built in 1950, Burgin Dossett Hall is a very recognizable building as well as a campus landmark. Unfortunately, the existing concrete stairway to the building had seen a lot of history as well and needed a major rehab.
ES Dockery installed 2″ thick Sierra White thermal finish granite treads on two 42′ stairways using Latapoxy adhesive over restored concrete.
